I was told that the 90 should be on the configurator around January, though not sure when I will eventually take delivery.

There is a nice app out at the moment, called Land Rover Defender AR, you can have a play around with some specs and see it in AR but to unlock all features it requires an QR code to be scanned at your local retailer Rolling Eyes

I presume that the jack and tools are under the rear floor somewhere. I once had a puncture in my FL1 and thought "at least the wheel is on the back door so I don't have to unload everything" then I remembered where the tools were stored. Sad 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

very nice.... but why ?

leave all that to firms like JE Engineering or Alive to play with and stick with the Defender as it is

Personally I think itā€™s good JLR are doing a SVR variant however it would have been nice to have the 90 on the online builder.

JLR said before they want to take a segment of the tuning away from 3rd parties. Healthy competition has done no harm Wink

If it was my SVR Iā€™d rather have it from JLR and maintain my warranty! MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

End of December/January we can configure a 90 Thumbs Up

Mines will be bog standard D200, white steels, white roof and Tasman blue body, 2 individual rear seats rather than the bench. The steels will save me worrying about damaging an alloy when I have a play in the mud

I havenā€™t used half the tech on my velar, mainly because half it doesnā€™t work Laughing

Have you downloaded the app? 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Bonkers tight fisted Tykes selling at bonkers prices to boys whoā€™ve more money than sense; backed by very little driving ability. Blokes cross the border into Derbyshire where Bowler (an official LR development partner) make rockā€™ard Defenders for rockā€™ard chaps who raceā€™em, and rallyā€™em. Wink

For people with way too much money than sense. Its a Defender FFS.

I did a V8 conversion on my TD 90, 11 years back - the whole vehicle cost less than Ā£4k (inc the V8 from a SD1 -that was about Ā£250 if you include the new bearing & seals).

I wish I still had it to sell now ! Jules

This was my last 90. Paint job was excellent, matching on the inside too, including engine bay, checkerplated the entire rear loadspace, fitted a low mileage 200Tdi from a Disco "correctly", not a bodge job. Not a single speck of rust anywhere on it, no nasty welded plates on the chassis either, all original including the rear crossmember. Drove like a dream too. Sold it for Ā£2200 back in 2007/8. The 90 just never felt like it was mine, I had no affinity with it like I've had with my other Land Rovers. Wish I had it now though.............ho, hum.

Looks good, I like the standard look on Defenders. Itā€™s what Iā€™m aiming for with mine, would like an original someday but canā€™t justify 2 cars and couldnā€™t live with the original as a daily driver. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
