I'm looking to pump up our black Freelander 2 and wanted to know if Evoque dynamic 20" wheels fit a 2014 Freelander 2 without modification?

I'm no expert at English Language, in fact I failed it twice at Secondary School; but isn't your query an oxymoron?
"I'm looking to pump up..with 20" wheels". Surely (tongue in cheek) wouldn't you want 16" wheels for that?

Even more seriously, I did the complete opposite. Bought an HSE with 19" wheels and hated the solid ride compared to my previous SE. So I downsized against the advice of the salesman and bought another set of 17" with new Continentals and it transformed the car into a sure footed sprightly comfortable cruiser.

Maybe it’s a typo and the OP meant 'pimp' up their FL2.

As far as I know, the stud pattern and rolling circumference of 16,17,18,19 & 20” wheels on aFL2’s and Evoques are all as near dammit, the same. There’s a 10mm difference in the offset but that shouldn’t be a problem. Many FL2’s have been fitted with Evoque wheels. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

It has been done, including (predictably) on the 'pimped' Kahn FL2.

Ive got Kahn’s 22s on mine and the ride quality compared to the 19s is minimal. The only time I can really tell I have 22s on is if I go flying over speeds bumps or hit a pot hole really hard.

Good tyres is the key to good ride handling I’m running Pirelli Scorpion Zeros 265/35R22 M+S.

I went for a non-LR rim set for my summer driving...........19X8, 2019 Ford Edge rims (NA version). Same bolt pattern, slightly less offset. Zero issues, awesome price.

I remember taking a perfectly good MINI Cooper, with the standard 15” rims and ruining it with 17’s from the Cooper S. It provided faster turn in on corners and improved the steering accuracy, but ruined the ride and introduced catastrophic tramlining, while the noticeable increase in unsprung weight overcame the ability of the dampers to maintain consistent traction if I hit a bump mid corner. They reduced the natural, comfortable, motorway cruising speed by around 10mph, increased the fuel consumption and kept me on a constant and tiring look out for kerbs, potholes and all of the other road imperfections. This was despite having fitted them with new versions of my favourite tyres. After 700 miles, I was able to easily sell them to the next fashion victim in line, to ruin their car instead

Having owned FL2’s with 17, 18 and 19” wheels as standard, a less extreme version of the same rules seem to apply, with the ideal size rims being between 17 & 18”, depending on your use of the car. If you really must fit bling rims, try and limit the damage by maintaining the same rim and tyre width and keep them as light as possible, although you will be more vulnerable to rim damage and cracking. Talk to your insurers too, otherwise you may find yourself uninsured; expect to pay higher premiums and have fewer insurers willing to quote.

I wonder if when buying a £30 bottle of wine they add a spoonful of sugar and a smidge of tomato sauce to improve it?  Regards

, The 19" work amazingly well with my summer tires......lots of snow and ice in Canada, dedicated winter tires and the stock 18" going on 2-3 weeks to be ready for the brutal weather to come.
Mud & Snows or all seasons don't really cut it here so a second set of rims with seasonal tires saves money twice yearly.........

Considering that the primary requirement for large wheels / low profile tyres is to make space for very large brakes, it also looks odd when large wheels are mostly filled with fresh air, with what now looks like a weedy brake disc in the centre.
