The brakes always cool quickly and the look is a hang up only for some. |

Rubber mats are great but Tuxmat truly rocks. |

This is very true - I’m a bit partial to a little modification myself ![]() ![]() |

Interesting, I have a 2012 SD4 XS with 18's on it and am in two minds as to whether to put A/T tyres on the 18's or buy some second hand 17's to put A/T's on as dedicated winter wheels (am thinking Falken WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA) then swap back to the 18's with 'normal' tyres for the summer. Any views? |

I bought a set of 19" rims with the same thing in mind and fitted Michelin Cross Climates to them. I've still got a set of 17s in the shed with Goodyear Wrangler HPs on, but to be honest for the sort of driving I do - a mix of motorway miles along with plenty of rutted single track up here in North Wales too - I can't justify getting A/Ts fitted to the 17s. They might look cooler and take me more places but I suspect i'd pay for it in added road noise and increased fuel usage.

I run 17" General Grabber AT3 all year round. Really capable tyre and no noticeable downsides from the Goodyear Efficient'slips' they replaced, they just last twice as long. Some of the evoque 18" rims are appealing but id not go any bigger than that, 19s and up just unnecessarily blingy or 'poodle rims' as Lightwater puts it. Wow, I had better get rid of my standard fit 19" rims for fear of being accused of being blingy or poodleish or maybe I will just keep them because I like them and they suit the car very well IMHO |
