Direct Fit Reverse Camera

Hi,
has anyone fitted the reverse camera that replaces the tailgate/boot handle? (pic of the camera in my gallery)

Just wondered if anyone that has can help with the wiring and how best to run the wires please?
Current handle wires are black and blue but camera wires are black and red.

I will be linking to an Xtrons head unit which is not fitted yet.

Thanks.

Hi
I have not fitted that camera - but I did fit a camera on the boot, and ran the wires through the number plate light fitting.
With regards to the route of the wires.
I run them up through the boot, then through the rubber tubes between the boot and the roof.
Then run the wires down the passenger side of the roof lining and then into the boot, you can now pick up on the wiring loom to the boot fuse box.
Remove the rear door seal and run the wire up from the boot up and over the door. Find the gag in the door pillar between the rear and front door, I used a long tie wrap to find the route and then feed the wire through that hole.
Then run the wire from the front door upper door seal down to the dashboard.

Hope that helps.
There may be better ways out there - but that what seemed to work for me.

That,s a great help, Thank you. Can you remember what wires you hooked up near the fuse box? Or is it possible to piggy back off a fuse?

From memory I picked up on the live wire from the reversing light and used that to power the camera.
