You just need to remove one side panel from the right side of the console. There is a small screw, after you remove pull the panel off. Inside you will see a black tube which connects to a metal pipe. Squeeze the pipe a few times all along it to remove any blockage and you should see water dripping from under the car. Do this when the car has cooled down or it will be hot to touch.

Had the same issue today. Mist from the drivers side a/c vents but not the passengers side (which is the right side in my case) squeezed the drain an suddenly a lot of water came out ( tea mug). Problem solved.
Strange it was on the drivers side only. Are these two sepperate systems / drains?

I went looking for the tube under the car but couldn't see it so went under the console on the drivers side.
One screw clip clip and off it came. Tube was there, couple of good squeezes and it started draining.

Has anybody got any photos showing the pipe behind the centre console/footwell I should be looking for and exactly where it exits the vehicle?

I am having this problem, although my footwells are not damp.
Switched the heat up the other day and the car misted up instantly obscuring my vision at 60mph. Scary stuff. "We're in danger, we've got to get out."

I have just had the same problem with mist coming out of the two left hand vents. Removed both my front rubbermats and the carpet was moist
Searched the forum and found this thread.
Removed the panel and squeezed the a/c drain hose a couple of times and tadaa, water started running from the drain

I used a can of the "aircon bomb" this week as the car was getting very "wet dog" on startup.

I had already checked that the AC was draining ok.

I followed this advice (https://blog.motoringassist.com/car-maintenance/using-air-con-bomb/) to first run the heater on max temp with the AC off for 10 mins prior to using the bomb as directed by the instructions on the label.

Seems to have worked very well, all horrid smells have gone. Jules

It might also be worth when changing the pollen filter, to buy some pollen filter housing cleaner, we use it at BMW during services, you can get it anywhere. P/N 83192180509
