FL2 WON'T START AFTER TIMING BELT CHANGED

I've changed the timing belt on freelander 2.now the
immobiliser won't let me start please can you anyone help...

I don’t know what would cause this after a belt change,have you tried disconnecting the battery and doing a hard reset ?

No never do that....someone said start from scratch take the belt off...I'll give the battery a go cheers

England 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Galway Green

1. Search on here for a hard reset.
2. Did you follow the LR procedure with the locking tools x 3 etc and the proper tensioning procedure ?
3. How do you know that it is the immobiliser that is not allowing you to start ?
4. Have you tried your other key ?
5. Have you replaced the crankshaft position sensor correctly ? FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
Evoque SD4 Auto Blue.
FL1 HSE TD4 Manual Black - Gone.
RR Classic V8 EFI - Gone

If its cranking, its not an immobiliser issue.

Suspect either the timing is out, or you have damaged the crank trigger wheel...

Edit: My issue happened 36 hours, and 20 miles later, through a blown intercooler. That wouldn't cause a non start situation Thumbs Up

As Mikey has suggested, maybe incorrect timing but as it cranks ok I would lean more to the crank sensor/wheel. I'd be checking the cps plug has also been reseated properly if you disconnected it. Let us know how you get on. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
