Well fitted the roof rails whilst it was in for a service with a good friend and local mechanic. Got them from Powerfuluk and they supply all the bits to help fit them as well, cant say it was easy as I followed others advice and fitted the cross bar to the rails first, secret is not to tighten the cross bar until its fixed to the roof, you need a bit of flex to get it to locate in the right spots. Overall looks good although the cross bar covers were an issue, they are sided and they sent me two right end ones...

Watch out that the screw in the centre support holding the rail on dose not fall out. Photos down this page https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic31435.html Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Have you stuck the end caps of the rails on with sealant? I lost one front cover 2 days after fitting, lost a second one a month or so later. Bought a set of 4 covers and now have all stuck on with black rtv sealant. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

My rear ones never clipped on perfectly so I stuck them on. Thought the front ones were ok but lost one! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

The front offside one was a crappy fit so I used the black sealant they provided to secure it, I think I will do the rest as well thanks for the heads up on this. 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4
