Anyone know if the FL2 keyfob is waterproof? Surfing today and realised Ive no idea what to do with the key š¤£š¤£ FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Hide key in the (dry) sand instead. Obviously somewhere you can find it again! |

They don't like water, I accidentally got mine wet (very wet) and ended up having to get a new key. |

I could be wrong but I think the earlier (> 2012) are waterproof as they are a sealed unit, but the later keyless ignition fobs aren't. |

Yes they are mine went through a full cycle of the washing machine worked perfect when I retrieved after the washing was done. |

I put new batteries in & noticed there is a gasket around the edge, but I have the new version. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

they aren't actually meant to be split in half though, if/when the fob battery dies or the fob fails then LR expect you to go back to them and spend Ā£200+ on a new one off them. |

Lakeland freezerbags work really well, ziplock type, buy the very small version and use one within the other for double security.

Put it in a condom and tie up the open end and stuff it down your trunks. Condom can be re-used after for another purpose!
