Hi all. Prob been discussed under 'Fuel Pump' issues. I have the occasional high speed judder which to the no mechanic appears to be slight fuel starvation. I have replaced the Fuel Filter and IN tank fuel pump.

To my mind, it all depends how the 'judder' manifests itself. If it feels as if the ignition has been momentarily switched off, then almost certainly it will be the CPS (crank position sensor). If on the other hand it is a constant loss of power, then more likely to be a sticky turbo actuator. Good luck with it. Nick (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Had an old RR once where similiar problems only occurred when the fuel tank was low, the pump was getting clogged by debris at the bottom of fuel tank. Had to get tank drained and cleaned in Amiens, France. |

Double posting from Paul, just in case you missed the fact that he used to have a RR |

I think we may be looking at CPS...anyone have a diagram of where this mysterious thing is located.

Remove R/H front wheel, remove fwd wheel arch liner & you will see it next to the crankshaft pulley. One electrical connector & one bolt to remove. Plug & play, no programming required.

I've seen a few Auto's judder under load, caused by dirty oil. Same symptoms and feeling as the 6HP gearboxes suffer from with a worn torque converter
