I’ll say it again . In this day and age , hanging an alloy and tyre that’s probably worth £750 on the rear door is just asking for trouble . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

It's not just the back door they get nicked from, D3/4 owners get them nicked often. It won't keep me up at night though. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

The early 60's was when the hovercraft was invented by Cockerell, at the time it was going to revolutionise transport and by now it was claimed that everyone would be driving one. The problem was that they were difficult to steer around corners as they just kept going in a straight line (Isaac Newton and all that). Apart from a few military uses I think that the technology has all but died out. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto 5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE |

I recall going on that and made the mistake of ordering a Gin and Tonic just before lift off. The vibration was so bad that most of it splashed out of the glass and I was scared to take a sip in case I "Glassed" myself. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

In the 1960’s I was taken across the the Isle of Wight on the then only commercial hovercraft SRN2 I think it was, run by British Rail (I know that because my Uncle was a driver on BR and we got discounted, well he got free fares) I can barely remember the trip, it was just noisy......well I must have only been 7 or 8 I think Regards

I was referring to martyn repeating himself, i know about wheel thefts, my mate recently had 8 wheels stolen, a mini tractor on a trailer back to hovercrafts, ive had a go on one of these wild things http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/event/allerton2019/ To steer you must give it full beans in order to maintain lift and feed the rudder, anything less than full chat and things just dont work At work At home "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

I was on the hovercraft from France to England, it was very noisy. Maybe even worse than a Defender!
