Mixed results really. I managed to get it working using windows 98. As you say the actual using of it is a matter of cautiously feeling your way around i

Was faffing around in the car last night as the frost was forming and fired up the laptop to see what options I could play with. Was going to delve into a couple and it told me no, the car battery is below the safe threshold for any programming. (But still enough juice to start the car).

I believe that's one of the modules that thehelper has enabled on his. I've definitely seen the option in there yes. |

Sorry p_gill, went out in the ice and the dark last night to have a look for you, but won't let me into the deep CCF without laptop being on mains power. Wasn't really in the mood for running extention cables

I'm trying to get a laptop figured out but aside from using them, it's really not my area of expertise. I have an old Samsung which I plan on using but it has Windows 10 64 bit loaded. Apparently, since I have the license code for that version of Windows I also have access to a 32 bit version. Trying that now to see if it will install as a clean version or I might just get the complete setup with lappy included from VXDiag. |

Would recommend making a fresh "Land Rover" partition with Windows installed, without anything else on.
