Here's me thinking it was dirt, so I've been jetwashing the life out of them.
Probably made it worse... Embarassed

Mine worked perfect when we got it home a few months ago, now the sensors seem to only work once in a blue moon, usually they just beep continuously occasionally in reverse and then sometimes in forward gears, and then when there is a “R” in the month, once or twice when the Sun is shining, never when I’ve just eaten a big meal.....well OK that last one might be my imagination Laughing

Gonna have to get them looked at though, I hate little details not working on cars. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Hello everyone!

I'm a total car noob (hence the name) I actually don't even have my driving license yet Laughing I've been helping my dad do maintenance on his car and this forum has been really helpfull, I love how well organized the stuff is here compared to other random places online! I hope i'll learn some stuff and I have tons of questions to ask!

Is there a recommended brand of OBD? Or should I buy a cheap chinese one and it doesn't matter and only testbook style diagnostics tools are worth paying a lot?

Also I've been having problems unlocking the car using the first key (it starts the car without any problems) I wonder if I shoud change the batteries, Is there a thread about key problems?

Thank you Smile

Welcome carnoob, we were all there once, and most of us are noobs to all sorts of things every day. Not learning, not alive.
You will find threads on key fobs, not unlocking etc and most of your questions. When I was first a Freeo owner I couldn't get my key to lock/unlock either. Because I was a noob I wasn't docking the key properly. I could start and stop the car but not lock. Took me a while to figure that one out.

Sometimes the search function doesn't get results for whatever reason so be sure to ask in the specialised sections of the forum, not just the general section. That way others have a better chance of finding out the answer too.

It is a great forum and a great community. We have our oddbods of course, and hallelujah for that.

G'day from Oz. MY11 SD4 SE Auto

England 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Barolo Black

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4 GS (black) after previously owning a Nissan 350z and BMW M3 so I’m adapting at the moment!

Have to say I’m massively impressed, it’s great to drive and saving me £££££ on fuel! I’ve never been so relaxed behind the wheel!

Had it checked over at an Indie in the Leeds area who assured me it’s a good car!

I’ve previously been a member of the 350/370 UK and M3 cutters forums and found them very friendly, helpful forums. I’m hoping this is the same 👍

Here’s my car 😊

Certainly a friendly and helpful forum here... I only joined the forum recently, though we have had our 2009 FL2 for eight years, and have learned a lot about the FL2 and have been delighted with the advice I've had.

Welcome and enjoy! Lexus RX450H - 500 mile a week commuter- I just couldn’t trust in a newer RRS or DS for that….
2009 Freelander 2 HSE... 155K miles, we’ve done 135k of those, has done brilliantly on the commute and staying firmly put as car two in the household
2002 Jaguar XK8 Coupe... fun, fast, ours for 12 years and owes us nothing - so staying with us too…

saying hello as new member

Hi All,

New member here. After having many cars from Lexus, Mercedes,BMW's . I am so happy and proud owner of FL2. Why I have never looked at them before I don't know.

I need some help. Unfortunately mine did not come with Tinted Windows, but as it was a good deal I went for it. I have looked at aftermarket Tints, but what is putting me off is the white Border you can see on the side quarter windows and Rear window. Any advise? Also which film should I go for so that it does not interfere with radio/Bluetooth signals. Would it be to ecpensive to fit factory tinted windows ?

Thanks All

New here, looking for clues...

Hi all. Just joined and am reading avidly to get some help with my FL2 as the garage is stumped. I daresay I'll be asking some questions in the appropriate sections shortly!

New to owning a freelander 2 TD4 XS

Hi all

I’ve just bought myself a 2014 freelander 2 TD4 XS after not driving one on the road (or off roading) for a good 10 years now, The last one i drove was a freelander 1. I still own 2 series 3 but are both in a bad way and don’t have the time to rebuild them yet (I have own one of them for over 25 years now and this one did sneak on to the cover of Land Rover owner International Magazine 23 years ago in the back ground) and i have also had a 300tdi Disco over my time of having Land Rovers. I do have some pressing questions about my Freelander so I’m hoping to get some answers from you all on this site.

Regards

Paul
