Bought a cheap front arch on eBay last night. I'll keep you posted as soon as it arrives. |

Ok, so the front arch has arrived and I'm sorry to say it just does not fit at all. Completely different curve.

You say that the arches you have will allow you to make a pattern, are you planning on moulding another set ofr making fibeglass ones?

Yep, that's the idea. There's no point going to all the trouble if I'm just going to get a "nearly fit". By the time I've finished - if I finish and don't get bored - then the goal is to have something that fits near damn perfect. ATM they're just being trial fitted so I know what needs to be trimmed and where. At the end of the day it's a side project - something to do to fill in the odd spare hour here and there. I have no intention of marketing the arches, they're just something to amuse myself with when bored. Plus they're not just for aesthetics. There's a 50mm lift at the rear, 40mm at the front and the tyres are over size.

I like the look of that USA one, i think what makes it look odd is the style of wheels and the lack of other off road features such as MT tyres, roof spots etc.

I quite like that, think it would suit mine with the big GG's on.

"RogB:The FL2 shape was not intended to be a wide arch, Carlos Fandango boy racer modded car, its was intended as a chunky off road style family SUV without looking like a lifted bob tail Disco 1."
