I bought my 2012 Manual HSE 2 years ago on 131,000mls with full Landrover history up to that point. Mileage went up to 154,000mls trouble free in 18 months. No issues with anything on the car when I sold it and service history showed it was trouble free before I owned it. I did the belt myself when I first got it and spent about 3120 on quality parts to do the work. The old belt still looked like new when it was replaced. I bought the filter and oil to service the haldex but never got round to actually doing it before I sold it. Now have a DS which also has been trouble free in the 6 months I`ve had it. As with most forums things that do go wrong are always headline news when in reality most cars just do what they should reliably and without a fanfare!. Good luck in your search! |

I would definitely look into getting a warranty with the purchase. We got our LR2 from Fords of Winsford with only 19k on the clock, and fortunately we took out a 3 year cover as after 18 months the haldex packed in. We managed to get it fixed at Hunters in Chester for a grand total of £686 but claimed it back through the warranty. |

Must be in the small print then as on the approved Land Rover site it says every approved Land Rover includes a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty? Regards

Approved Land Rover scheme only runs up to 6 years old cars with less than 100k on the clock at purchase. They come with 2 year warranty, LR assist, 165 point check etc etc
