I went to look at about 5 freelanders 2's today, all the latest models, from 2012 - 2014.

Everyone of them had quite a rusty exhaust. Some were worse than others.

Is there anyone here who doesn't have a rusty exhaust?

Mine isn't. Discoloured, yes, but no rust on it whatsoever (or anywhere else on the vehicle for that matter)

This particular vehicle works fairly hard off-road around these parts, and wades through fords quite regularly as well. MY13 HSE Lux.......faultless since new.

Should any rust underneath a car be a concern? These freelanders I've looked at all had a layer of rust underneath most of the car. There wasn't any rot.
