Daft door lock question. 2010 Freelander 2

Hello all.
I left the car in a car park this morning and I'm hundreds of miles away now. I'm not sure if I actually locked the car and I have the only key fob with me. I can get my son to check if the car is locked or not. If not, can the doors be locked without a key fob?

Huh... I'd have thought you'd be able to lock it manually and hold the door handle open while you close it or something similar, like you see in other cars. Just went out to have a play and apparently not.

Didn't want to play with the tailgate idea in the work carpark, but i like the theory!
