Yes just came across this. Only fits wheels with 5 holes though and no mention of wheel diameter issues which I would have thought would should flag up messages about traction control or ABS

What a great idea! Never heard of that before. Would hardly fit my Mini though, but being a 'proper' car it has its own spare! Whistle

Someone ought to tell that RAC patrolman how to use a torque wrench. You’re supposed to stop when it clicks! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

some patrols also carry 4 stud, and yes warning lights may come up but will go out when new tyre is fitted after a restart. note ive just realised, these CANNOT be used on 4x4s,so like me get a spare alloy!!

Why can’t these be used on a 4x4?
different diameter,so haldex might kick in.might be able to use on a 4x4 wher you physically engage 4x4 .

but come to think of it, how does the skinny temp wheel when fitted not upset the haldex if on the front?

That’s why I asked - I fitted the skinny temp wheel on the rear of my Evoque and drove it from the Peak District to my home in Essex with no problems or warning lights. It’s nothing to do with it being 'skinny', it’s the overall rolling circumference that counts and wouldn’t make a difference if you had 18”, 19” or 20” rims. Even if it was a different rolling circumference, that’s what the differential is for. It would be a bit pointless for LR to supply them as OE equipment otherwise. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
