I suggest you need to get the car Fault Codes read, without that you are in the dark. Of course unless it's something obvious. |

Your first step will be to get any fault codes read. Asking a question like that isn't going to get you very far. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Could be the CKP sensor.

If it feels as if the ignition has been momentarily interupted, then almost certainly it will be a faulty CPS (crank position sensor). (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

excuse me for asking but I suppose you are aware that not all faults are flagged up on the dashboard? We are referring to plugging into the diagnostic socket and reading the codes. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto 5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE |

If it is the CPS I suggest you get a genuine part. I got one off E bay it had to go in the bin. |

mine did this, it was a pin hole in the pipe to the throttle body. |
