Thanks for the reply. No it has not been flooded.....at least not recently. Just that the interior is filthy, a lot of mud which I've wiped off to a degree but it needs a good deep steam clean. Suggests car may have been used a round a farm or something Everything bone dry, no mold or smell |

Give the battery a good charge and clear the codes. Most of them are probably down to low battery voltage due to it sitting around. |

I suspect (hope ) your right! Battery is fully charged now. I did not clear anything yet....just wanted to note all codes stored as a first step. Next step clear codes and check again |

Try contacting the dealer noted on the reg plates, they could have it's history.

It's last MOT was in November 2018 with just an advisory on a tyre. Can't have been sitting around for that long. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Good idea! There is a garage sticker on the windscreen as well. Was going to give them a ring and see if they have any info. Would be good to know if they have any service history....as car came with nothing. |

Yep that's correct....and at that time a new battery was fitted as whoever did it kindly wrote the date on the battery. As mentioned the oil looks partially clear which for a diesel engine does suggest it has recently been serviced. What would be good to know is if the timing belt had been done.....as its coming up for 10years old it will be due. |

Indeed! The car will have been sitting at Copart for at least a couple of months I would guess as battery totally flat (but new) and key fob battery also dead. Used an Ebay key fob refurbishment service who put all the original key internals into a new case with new battery (old one was following apart), only one key with car. Remote locking now works.....except for drivers side doors as the lock motors are toast as reported in the fault codes....new lock units will need to be fitted. |

My vehicle is coming up to 10yrs and 118Kmls. So I went to a dealer, Listers, and asked if they had any service history on my vehicle ??? They said NO, unless it was serviced by them. My turn to say NO, told them they should be able to look at ALL LR dealers history on my vehicle. Again they said NO. I then asked for a quote to change Belt/Tensioner/Water Pump. NO Sir , I can only quote for the belt. your vehicle does not need the Tensioner/WaterPump changed. Good Bye Listers !! Why do dealers do that ?? . |
