Just got back from Cornwall, I filled up half way there and again at the same place on the way back, total of 280 miles 90% cruising at 70 mph on motorways and dual carriageways the other 10% was hilly narrow windy lanes, used 60.12 litres - 13.23 gallons of fuel, so by my maths that's 21.16 MPG give or take, total cost of £31.68 or £0.11 per mile. Quite pleased with that. Common sense isn't very common.

As LPG is around half the price of PetrolDiesel it works out at around 42 mpg in real terms! Not too shabby! |

Done a couple of brim to brim fill tests and getting ~ 33 mpg which is much below what the trip computer used to say at 45 mpg. I never did the brim to brim test when the computer was telling me I was getting ~ 45 mpg on the trip regularly. |

Have just changed from 2008 hse auto at 38-42 mpg, to 2014 sd4 hse and the display shows in miles per litre. So haven't a clue, can I change it to read in mpg ? |

The 'right hand' steering wheel button has its own menu. Press 'OK' and 'Units' are amongst the trip computer settings.

Thank you for that information reset about six this morning before a trip to Bridgenorth and back. Consumption shows as 36 mpg. Perhaps not quite as good as I had hoped, but not to worry. The bright spot of a chilly wet day was filling up in Tesco in Hereford £1.24.9p / ltr. |

Blimey, how much is diesel where you are normally then? I was moaning to the wife on Sunday because they had put it up here to £124.7.....looks like I'm in one of the "cheaper" regions! |
