Options are getting a bit thin on the ground now, but from the photo I'm sure you have an incomplete combustion issue on initial start up.

no did make sure it was set up but will look at changing would it not bring up a fault code?

Didn't throw up any DTC's on my son's car until about the 5th time LR assist came out to it, then it was showing a count of something like 228 times which I think is the maximum it can store. 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep 2013 SD4 HSE The posh one for towing the caravan 1973 Triumph Stag I bought in 2009 and restored. |

did you sort out the oxygen sensors, as you said they were 88 degrees when cold which am sure would cause problems when starting. |

Waiting for it to arrive there’s only one sensor and it’s the one by the turbo so changing that and cam sensor see where we go |

Going software check next just seems to much diesel unburnt to be valve guides but yes is second engine supposed to be 60,000 miler |

OK if a different engine, was it the same MY where have the electronics come from? it is possible you have the wrong software for that model year engine, all the engines are similar however tweeks over the years by the manufacturer make them different. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
