What you need to bear in mind with an AT tyre [well with mine anyway], is that the starting tread depth is deeper.

If the Grabber AT3's are half as good as my old AT2's which have lasted me 6 years, then I will be very happy with putting my toe in the water with them next time round. |

I have had these on my car since new. Now at 23000 miles and about 4.5 to 5.0 mm left. Will be replacing all four when they get to 4 mm. No problems whatsoever, have always felt safe and amazing grip in the wet. I don’t do serious off roading so can’t comment on how they perform in that condition. Another plus is no punctures. So, nothing to complain about and will probably stick with the same tyre when I replace them. 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto |

That makes the assumption that they both wear at the same rate. |

I'm certainly not making any assumptions ..... my abbreviated post is referring to my experience. Net result of my post was that usage on my AT tyres equates to 1mm of tread wear to every 5k miles. The numbers are there for anyone wanting to do the maths versus their own tread wear experiences. But of course the variables of vehicle, driving styles & terrain also all need to be taken into account. There are variations of Scorpion tyres Rog . For what it’s worth he Scorpion ATR is exceptional, it is as quiet as a tyre can be , performs well in mud and snow , and delivers a decent MPG . It also has a very pronounced rim protector bead , which is great if like me your lousy at parking near kerbs 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
