My FL2 has got an intermittent whooshing noise when under load. When it is happening it sounds like a split hose. It doesn't happen all the time. It's like there is some sort of gate opening to allow a whooshing sound sometimes but closes at other times. When the noise is present there seams to be a slight drop in power but power is fully restored when the noise is gone. It's been doing it for a while but doesn't seem to be getting any worse. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Could it be EGR related?

Probably a hose that goes to the Turbo and or the air control shut off unit. Quite common. Change the lot out with a better quality silicone set. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Hi. Could it be the shut off unit itself. Maybe that's why its intermittent. I was thinking if it was a hose it would happen all he time?

whooshing is a classic symptom of split intercooler hose. hard to find but it will be there No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS
