2nd Earth Strap ??

Hello Guys,
I am new to the forum as i have only just bought my first LR2, so please forgive me if i am in the wrong part of the forum, If so, I do apologise. my question is, I want to put the 2nd Earth Strap on my Freelander 2, and I am having a bit of a tough time getting the correct on, I can get a stock length it is 36" long with an 8mm Ring Crimp on both ends, will this do for what i want.

Thanks
Best Wishes

I’ve looked for the receipt for mine but can’t find it but going from memory mine had 8mm ring and a larger one that went to a starter motor bolt.

I bought a 36" black 170Amp cable with 8mm and 10mm ring terminals from Ebay for £7.85 delivered.

I attached one end to a threaded hole on the top of the autobox (middle of pic below), as that was easy to get at, and the other end on the earth terminal up behind the battery.

Attaching to a starter motor bolt might be better in theory but its more awkward to get to and the gearbox is in good electrical contact with engine. And the hole is crying out for something Very Happy Jules
