Take the pressure cap off and run up engine to normal temp for a short while, if its air locked it may release the air. You mentioned the cam belt and most cam belt kits have a water pump. Did yours ? and was it fitted ? That may well be why you could have a air lock.

Don't take the pressure cap off just after a drive though, give it 15-20 mins to cool down otherwise scalding water will shoot out under pressure, |

Cam belt and auxiluary kit all fitted by a reputable and reliable LR workshop and as I say all working well for the last two months .I might go back to them if I don't fix it. Tried the expansion tank cap off but as yet no result. Thanks for the replies
