Hi, has any one retro fitted day running lights to there freelander2. I was looking at maybe trying to source slim ones that would fit in the slim opening between the main and lower grilles. Also i need to them to either dim or swich off when the side lights are operated. Any ideas please.

I plan to do it as soon as funds permit. I’m going for the Osram combined fogdrl101 lamps. I had them on a previous car and they’re very effective. Derek Hill

I stand to be corrected on this but I believe that post 2013 there were a lot of changes to the wiring on FL2s as JLR put common systems into the Evoque production line so it might not be an easy job. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Its relatively simple to run additional wiring to auxiliary lights. Plenty of info on web, easy job for auto electrician if you are not confident to do so. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Have a look at this post in the Freelander 2 group on Facebook, you'll probably have to join the group to see it, plenty of different options on there for aftermarket ones.
