Phone module seems to have disappeared

Hi

Freelander 2 2007 TD4 HSE. The steering wheel phone buttons no longer work. My phone that was paired to the car does not show in the head unit and when I press the phone button on the head unit nothing happens. It's as if the Bluetooth phone module has been removed. Anyone got any ideas as to where to start looking?

I would at least try a hard reset it sometimes helps things like this.

....and check fuse in boot as well

Thanks Gents, I'll give the hard reset a try at the weekend. I'll also check the fuse in the boot (didn't know there actually was one )

OK sorry for the delay in replying but the D3 decided to start playing up as well so had to concentrate on that. Checked the fuse in the boot and its all OK. Did a hard reset but still no bluetooth.

Ther are other threads suggesting that the Bluetooth module can become problematic. Mine is a bit unreliable with it losing pairing at times, only occasionally managing to access my contacts and so on. Seems an easy and cheap job to replace the module, but it hasn’t reached the top of my priority list yet (unlike today’s “Yoof”, I don’t need a phone that badly!), so I’ve not tried it. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto
