2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

Hi Casper
Glad to be of help regarding the lead to Camerons. It did have the feel of a quality solution at a reasonable price. As an engineer, I also preferred to use the plug and play solution rather than faf around with the wiring, connectors, diodes etc.

Perfect Pete I fitted it today dodging the rain and works perfectly out of the box. Bit of cram in the Fusebox but can close it.
Of course me being a bit behind the curve was trying to fit the lights in with Censored plastic trays still on the bottom until i realised they pull off Rolling with laughter . I am guessing that these might be needed on a facelift bumper Question

Good thing is I can upgrade to XEON in the future with plug and play now it is done but main reason was to get DRL which in a black car is safer in the dark winter days. Thumbs Up

Next is the tail lights and I managed to find the rear grey connectors in the old Visteron lamps on a chinese site took me a long time they are not simtek but exactly the same connector so ordered some if they ever get here Question FL2 2008 165K

XENON UPGRADE FROM HALOGEN Self leveling and CCF change

Reading all the posts and the law you can't upgrade halogen to xenon bulbs due to the reflector design and the lens in the lamps which is easy to understand.

So my DRL Loom kit allows for the new XENON Headlamps to be fitted but do these come with self-levelling fitted ? ballast ? etc as part of the headlamp design and I believe and a change to the CCF would make this work but is it even an option in my 2007 ? CCF menu? pretty ignorant on this stuff Confused FL2 2008 165K

The original equipment Xenon lights will work fine when the CCF is modified to suit.
My first Freelander 2 a 2007 model had Xenon lights from new.
I fitted Xenons to my next Freelander, a 2011 model yer vehicle.
They were the AFS swivelling version, but that part didn't work on mine.
The levelling is still controllable from the little wheel on the dashboard.
I'll admit I usually ran with them down a little, but even fully up, you rarely had any dazzling issues.
The ballast is part of the headlamp.

Don't forget that there is often confusion with the term "Xenon". You can have normal filament bulbs filled with some Xenon gas which enables it to run hotter and therefore whiter light or you can have proper Xenon lighting which is a gas discharge system and totally different. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
