Yes I have seen that too -
- the blue spark plugs inline with the common rail injectors.

I get +28MPG towing my 1.5tonn caravan. and +35MPG driving round town. and that's measured between top ups.

I think its made a big difference. Thumbs Up

That sounds excellent, indeed.
Would you have the details of the box you bought on eBay?
Model, serial number, ..

Thank you in advance.
Frédéric

Search the following on ebay
'Diesel chip tuning box land rover freelander'

basically - you buy it, then tell them your reg and they will set the chip up.

Currently £79.99

Just bought the Bluespark Pro + Boost, £280, less 10% for Black Friday.
I should have it on Friday.
I will give my feedback in early January, after a trip to Marseille, France. 2,000 miles

Hello,
I am thinking about remapping mine (2011 SD4) by Celtic Tuning as well.
Have you had yours done and happy with the results?
Thank you.

I'd leave the Sd4 standard as I'm sure I've read the autobox is near its limits , is the Sd4 not satisfactory enough already ? I've heard too many horror stories of remapped/tuned diesels tbh .

It is a good point, indeed.
However, I want to enhance the driving, with more torque, to make it smoother.
I will give my feedback in few weeks.

Yes don't forget that the manual gearbox torque rating is less than what the engine can deliver and that the normal mapping reduces engine torque at certain points to spare the gearbox. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

My understanding is that neither the manual nor the autobox can handle much more torque than the standard cars deliver. Any mapper needs to be careful about how and where the peak torque occurs (many vehicles have set torque limits in lower gears).
I think the autobox limit is only 440Nm .

For comparison my BMW 330D produced 520Nm standard and 620Nm after it was remapped - still within the autobox limits. Jules

Just be aware, that a tuning box intercepts the signals from the sensors returning to the ECU. Essentially, lying to it to increase fuel pressure and inject more diesel

Yes, you will see an increase in power, but long term reliability is likely to suffer...

FWIW, my Sd4 has been remapped, and shows no signs of any gearbox issues Thumbs Up

Can anyone else remember when a remap consisted of changing the needle in your SU carburetor, skimming the head and perhaps fitting a high lift cam and stronger valve springs? None of this software nonsense. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
