I’ve never done one on an FL2 but I’ve done many on Mondeos. Many people struggle to get the ball joint out of the hub because there is not enough space to lever the ball joint out as the wishbone hits on the subframe. The way to do it easily on Mondeos (and this may work on FL2’s) is to remove the subframe mounting bolts on the side you are working on. You then have enough room to remove the ball joint and then the wishbone. Hope this helps. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Thanks for the info guys, very helpful. Just need to work out where to do it now. My garage is a bit narrow for jobs like this on the FL2 and I haven't picked the best time of year for doing it outside! Gone:
