It's an absolute & utter circus down under. We have just given up the landline at 5Mbps download & 500Kbps upload, it's worse than a decade ago!

I currently get around 33Mbps d/l and around 10Mbps u/l with Sky ''super fast'' broadband - soon to be upgraded to around 60Mbps for free.

We've not long moved out to the sticks, where speeds for downloads are averaging around 15Mbps and uploads only around 1.5Mbps. In our last house, we were regulary getting 35+ Mbps and 10Mbps.

Virgin are definitely leading the way in high speed for broadbands and that's before they are getting fibre direct to the customer. Once you have a fibre cable to your house or business its only the equipment you have that will restrict your speeds. |

15mb dl speed and 1mb upload for me in a small hamlet of a dozen houses. Can't see superfast coming our way soon but happy with what we have and no problems with buffering on i player etc. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Stick with what you got the BT deal is not worth the paper it's written on, my bro swapped his and within weeks speed dropped and prices rose.

BT are shortly digging a trench 1/4 mile long in my field to bring me superfast. I await true confirmation of this as all Ive heard of it was a guy drove up the lane surveying the job,

I get around 15mbps in work and 35mbps at home, both with Talk Talk although when weāve been away and staying in remote cottages in the Peak District with about 3mbps, you can notice the speed slowdown but our Amazon Firestick still runs Netflix, Amazon prime and iPlayer well. We are currently getting 0.04Mbps. download and 0.41Mbps on uploads with TalkTalk. This is after a so-called upgrade in August! We were promised 10-16Mbps with the upgrade, but are getting less than before.Needless to say,the engineer is coming tomorrow to sort the problem. |

Gigaclear Fibre to the premise give us 50meg upload and download. around Ā£ 45 That's their cheapest tarriff. The real saving though with Gigaclear is the option of buying the Vonage VOIP. Ā£15 a month for all calls to landlines and mobiles, and a few Countries |

For the most part, 15mbps is more than enough. Anything faster and for things like general browsing you're just not going to see a difference.
