Tailgate fuse location

Pardon me for being stupid but can anyone wth any knowledge of the fuse for the rear tailgate point me in the right direction, please. I have checked online and the hand book but it doesn't appear to be very clear. Is it luggage compartment or rear door, left or right side?? Freelander 2, 2014 HSE.
My issue appears to have started back in June prior to summer hols when the boot release catch/switch started playing up. Firstly wouldn't open and only with the remote then opened automatically then wouldn't close. See where I'm going? Anyway hols started going wayward when a warning light started going on, Gearbox fault Traction reduced. It came and went and my thoughts were battery issue as it cleared when we hit the motorways and looked like the battery was charging.
Back from hols and the warning light continued but went out after a few days of charging. Decided on new battery and all was well for a week, when back to normal... Gearbox Fault Traction Reduce.... Pain in the arse!!!
My thoughts NOW are faulty rear tailgate switch causing a battery drain so in order to eliminate the switch from my list prior to service in two weeks time is to isolate it, charge the battery and see what happens after that.
It is booked in for a full inspection at my local dealership to try and resolve the warning light.
Sorry for being so long winded but wanted to clarify to big picture.

Just fit a new tailgate switch as they are cheap and easy to do. Rules out the problem or even cures it. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Hi
I had this issue - tail gate blown fuse when connecting the van electrics.

The fuse is located in the front passenger foot well fuse box.
its a micro blade fuse.

Mine is a 2007 model - not sure if that's the same for a new model.

Fuses on MY13 on cars are not in same positions as early cars (if at all for some circuits).

The owners handbook on my MY13 car does not reflect it either so its a bit hit and miss with having 2 fuse boxes (glove box and under the boot floor) in the car plus any I have never looked for. Shocked FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thanks Yorky, I've ordered a new switch to save anymore frustration with that issue. Just a pity the guides weren't a bit clearer. It's still under warranty but some things are better done yourself.

There are 2 types of switches as they come with a loom. I was given the wrong one by the York LR dealer !

Ended up modifying the thing as it was more trouble than it was worth chasing around. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
