Like most dogs, Susie has been suffering in this never ending heatwave so her new 'cool coat' has just arrived. £50 off of Amazon. It works too - the suns gone in, the winds getting up, the sky has gone dark and it’s about to down!

Went to see a friends litter of working cocker pups tonight - didn’t notice them chewing on my Speedmaster at the time!

Sadly on Saturday we took the decision to put my lovely 13 year old girl to sleep. She had had a heart murmur that was diagnosed a couple of years ago, but had worsened to such a degree it was affecting her breathing and her stability. Add to that her being 95% deaf and 85% blind we chose the kindest route for her,

Sorry to hear that too. When this happens we can only console ourselves with memories of the good times and the fact that our pet has had a happy life. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I have just the one but almost all our dogs are related. Our friend has bred hers a couple of times just to keep the line going and they kept Dee Dee from the last litter. Our friends lost the Grandad of them all this year under similar circumstances as yours. I think Dee Dee would have been his great, great, great granddaughter. We walk regularly as a group several times a week and can have ten or more related dogs on the walk. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Bloody hard Rog letting them go, just got to keep remembering the good times and by God that's one good looking pup. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.
