I know the SD4 is more powerful but are they the same engine in a different state of tune? I only enquire as I recently had an Antara that was 163bhp they also did a 184bhp version of the 2.2 engine and it was I believe just tuning that separated the two. I put a RacePro 2 on it and it was a huge performance increase pushing it to near 200bhp! The fuel economy improved greatly I was getting 42mpg on mixed driving as I did not have to use the throttle pedal as hard as I did prior to the chip being fitted.

I will let you do the math but if you average say a 2 mpg improvement how long is it before a kit pays for itself. Many would need to pay for fitting and setting up i assume, or would they ?

Porsche No Ithink I may have not explained myself well, its not that I am unhappy with the performance, just that on the Antara the difference in the way the engine responded and also increased the economy made me think, but no plans to go down that route |

There were no SD engines prior to 2011MY, it is not a chip tune there are mechanical differences and a 2014 will have the last of the modified 2.2 SD engines as the soon to be introduced Ingenium engine was the where the money went. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
