FWIW, I have a Halfords trade card and was looking in store yesterday. The only 5w30 C1 oil they had was their own brand and 6 litres was £54 (less my discount). Joe public could probably get a named brand for that money. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

My local Halfords has started to stock the 934-B oil as from this week, so it should be with you very soon. I think it's £15 for a 2 litre container, and it comes in a fluorescent green colour container which should make it easy to spot!! |

It’s £18 for two litres so £54 to change the oil. Too expensive for own brand oil. You can get 6 litres of Granville C1 oil for less than £30.

@yorky bob: I tried to enter the car reg into castro oil website and others, castro says it can't determined refered to dealer. I looked up on owner handbook it states that with dpf engine oil is Ford 934B, without dpf or petrol it's 913B.

Ya need to be very careful of c1 spec oils as some are still only rated as Mid saps !

The oil from Yorky Bob link here is c1 Miller oil, specifies : the unique low SAPS formulation so it should be OK. On the other hand I have used the A5 in the last oil change with 9500 miles since and I haven't had any problems with the DPF. |

Never heard of Mercedes specifying C1 oil - what engine was that for? The current norm for Mercs is C3. The only mfrs. I've come across specifying C1, apart from L/R are Ford Volvo & Mazda |

This was said tounge in cheek as Castrol say only a dealership has the correct Castrol oil. It’s taking by both companies at the highest level. I have had the Millers oil in now for a number of oil changes and the car runs sweet on it. It’s my last word on this as it’s now going around in circles FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

Give these guys a bell for first class advice www.opieoils.co.uk don’t bother with the likes of eurocarparts etc. As Yorky Bob said if you have a DPF Millers 5w30 C1 long life is perfect for your car. |
