United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Izmir Blue

Hello Everyone.
I’ve recently bought a Freelander 2. Wasn’t looking for one in particular but have owned a Disco and Freelander 1 in the past so I think I think I will be pleased.I specifically chose a model without a DPF as the previous cars I’ve had in the family have been fitted with them and have turned out to be expensive nightmares. I live on the Isle of Wight and no journey is any distance, so no chance to burn off the deposits. Oh well.
Regards to all.

Hi All!

Got me a FL2 a couple of months ago, Automatic TD4 XS.

Love it......but not taken it anywhere off-road......yet!

I'm a total beginner in the world of 4x4 and Land Rover, so I might ask what you view as silly questions....but I'll try to keep that too a minimum! Very Happy

I am sure your questions won't be too silly as you were smart enough to buy a white one! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

HSE Auto

Hi All
After several Land Rovers including Freelander 1's and a Toyota Hilux 3.0 Invincible Auto (awesome machine) we decided to look for a 4WD (we do get adverse weather here in Scotland!) that was reliable, comfortable, spacious, car like to drive , great for towing and sophisticated.
Narrowed it down to 3 - Hyundai Sante Fe, Toyota RAv4 and Freelander 2.
After test driving all three a very nice 2008 FL2 HSE Auto Lux Stornaway Grey LR History and immaculate (80,000)
Wife and I loved so we became proud owners on a very smart FL2...

Some issues, problems with key fob, steering rack replaced on warranty, tailgate latch (warranty) no AM on the Radio (DAB adaptor fitted.... so don't expect any more major problems.

But overall we are very pleased with it and I am sure if we keep it well maintained it will go on for years!

Off to the Land Rover Experience at Dunkeld, Scotland soon, and from what the Instructors are saying it will do everything that modern Discovery Sport's, RR's and Evoques will do off Road too! so can't wait to try it out Smile
Cheers
Jerry

Belgium

Hi all,

Not currently a Freelander 2 owner but I'm hoping to be able to make the move in the not too distant future.
I live in Belgium but originally from Derby.
Have a Golf estate company car for the week and a 66 Ford Mustang for the weekends.
Looking to change jobs and buy my own car to travel to the station and for weekend fun.

Paul

Hi, I am one of the Silver surfer brigade.

I recently purchased a Freelander 2 (57 plate) that had snapped the Timing Belt, and am now regretting it.

I do not know what they are like to drive yet as I cannot get it to go and hence have joined this Forum in the hope that someone can help me get it going.

I am a Chauffeur driver by profession and drive a Mercedes Viano.

Ouch, not a good start?
Hope you can find an economical repair!
But sure you'll love it.

What age and mileage?
