It was actually really easy to mask, the honeycomb section isn’t welded to the silver surround and there is a small gap all around, so you can get tape under the surround and no risk of overspray... having said that, it’s a easy job for a body shop, so may as well just let them do it. I would have been pretty peeved if I’d messed it up tbh

So did you mask the chrome surround of the grille and basically paint the rest black? It’s the chrome effect strip that shows discolouration on mine, the grey bits of the grille are perfect. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
