Hmmmm I have always admired the Touareg, but cant afford one. It costs twice as much as the FL2.

A good friend of mine has a Touareg, he looked at the FL2 but the towing capacity wasn't enough for his boat. I think the VW offers a 3500kg capacity (3.0 V6 TDI). it is a great car and VW offer something similar to LRE to prove its off road performance. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor ... but not any more ... ... psst look at my gallery!

My pal also has a Touareg, which I think he is satisfied with Gets him to his mountain cabin as well as my FL2 gets me to mine. Both probably can do similar things off-road (except the LR downhill bit). The biggest differences is the original HIGH purchase price and HIGH running costs - but of course you do get HIGH status for the price 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I looked at the Touareg forum (thanks for the link, npinks) - and the problems they have (software, mechanical etc etc), are almost identical to ours !

Have they also got a chicken farmer who hates caravans , a grumpy pensioner , a van biased mod with a thing for (weak) magnets and strange individual called snappa? At work At home "I can't always believe facts I read on the web" - Charles Dickens winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race |

I did hear somewhere that the V10 diesel had 2 batteries, as it took that much power to start it. That's some engine, imagine that in the FL2. |
