Q17 How long does it take for the car to be inspected and repaired?
A: Fitment of the replacement PTC heater, reinstalling the 100 Amp fuse and reenabling
of the heater function takes approximately 1 hour. The work will be
carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to minimize
inconvenience to customers. Naturally, due to dealer schedules, vehicles may be required for longer.

.........Why?

LR Denmark says it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes, but I got this e-mail from the dealer: “I have booked your car to d. 23.01, but be prepared on that it takes most of the morning”.
.............WHY ? LR Freelander2 2,2 Td4 HSE manuel Stornaway Grey (Metallic) & Ebony Black Leather & Sun/Moon-roof & Bi-Xenon & Roof Rails & Tow bar & Body side rubbing strips & Cold climate pack & Privacy glass & NavTeq . Production Date: 11/5-2007 in Halewood.

Sorry, but I have changed to Defender 90 ", and I love my" tractor ".

my experiences with LR Denmark are very dissapointing. I seem to know far more than they do about the Fl2.

I had to remind them to order me a new heater...........!

Another thing, every time you visit the Dealer and borrow a replacement car (which is a crappy Honda Civic) in order not to waste your life waiting at the Dealer's - you have to pay for the courtesy car. I have had to go to the dealer 8 times for warranty covered issues in 12 m - and each time I have to pay for the courtesy car.

That's just fantastic, I love keep paying out more & more money for warranty problems............

Jimmy, I am inclined to share your opinion of LR dealers. ( In fact, other dealers too)
Unfortunately, we must ensure that they do things right.

P014 today: I waited in the period 0730 - 1100 = 3.5 hours
Then into the car and found this wire in a strange place:

It took another 1 hour before it was in place.

It was not as visible as in this picture .. Arrow taken when the mechanic is trying to do it properly.
(They hoped that I would not detect it Question ) Twisted Evil

Remember to check before leaving the workshop. LR Freelander2 2,2 Td4 HSE manuel Stornaway Grey (Metallic) & Ebony Black Leather & Sun/Moon-roof & Bi-Xenon & Roof Rails & Tow bar & Body side rubbing strips & Cold climate pack & Privacy glass & NavTeq . Production Date: 11/5-2007 in Halewood.

The wire had no purpose in my car. The mechanic said that it was for the automatic gearbox. Confused
( I have manuel ). LR Freelander2 2,2 Td4 HSE manuel Stornaway Grey (Metallic) & Ebony Black Leather & Sun/Moon-roof & Bi-Xenon & Roof Rails & Tow bar & Body side rubbing strips & Cold climate pack & Privacy glass & NavTeq . Production Date: 11/5-2007 in Halewood.

That is indeed the 10-way connector (Only 5 wires used) that connects to the Auto-shifter '57 FL2 GS

Isle Of Man 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Narvik Black

Having done some work on my car today (fitted rear screen connectivity pack) I noted two things of interest.

The green connector shown above is fastened to the bottom middle section of the gear selector housing by a cable tie.

When taking out the floor mounted central console it was necessary to disconnect the handbrake cable underneath the rear audio outlets. I would say that for those who had noted 'adjuested handbrake' on their srvice recall, it was done out of necesity and not just to tighten up the handbrake.
