I was thinking about some of the comments elsewhere on the forum about the £millions currently being spent by JLR dealers around the country upgrading their dealerships. If I was a dealer, my financiers would want to have a pretty good idea of what was coming down the track before making a commitment so I can only assume that they have an inside track on what is planned across the model range over the next 5 years or more and that JLR are selling a good story. It would also be interesting to learn if JLR is subsidising any of the dealer upgrades. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

An article dated 4th July 2015 long before Brexit, said JLR want to produce 350,000 vehicles at its new facility in 2019.

I have in the past been privy to some big product strategy events from corporates and you have to sign your life away with personal non disclosure agreements just to get in the door then they take your phones off you. Most businesses don't use their own money either so the banks or backers will want to see what sort of commitment across the product line.

I think this is the original article? As you say there is a long term plan to move to lower wage zones. http://europe.autonews.com/article/2015071...e-extended FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |
