You are probably better off replacing the engine air filter sooner than later! My mechanic for the last few decades shows me the crap which was embedded in the air filter, removed via a thorough bashing (ie Basil Fawlty car flogging). Pretty frightening stuff at what comes out & we even turn off the engine on extreme outback dust situations until the dust has gone!
Change the air filter before worrying too much about the oil!
Frankly, in the UK we never get dust - mud, yup, loads, but it rarely stays dry long enough for dust. Horses for courses.
