Several Freelanders ago I bought one from a dealer with a towbar attached and asked for it to be removed as I don't need one. When I picked up the car the rear parking sensors didn't work so the workshop manager drove it into the workshop and a few minutes later it reemerged and all working fine. "I just needed to make a change to a setting" he said. So. it looks like something in the configuration file needs looking at. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Perhaps someone on the forum knows if it's something that a non LR dealer could do? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

May be cheaper to try a local towbar fitter. |

Plug the electrics back in, if the sensors work again just put the electrics out of sight by the spare wheel. Common sense isn't very common.

AFAIK pre- 2013MY are not plig and play electrics and need to be activated by a dealer. It looks as though your car may have had the standard sensor setting altered to accommodate the towing electrics.

It is as westville says. On pre MY13 cars towing electrics are not fully plug and play and have to be 'activated' by a dealer (or Indy with the necessary equipment).

ring a few indy garages, I found one that did a problem with a Volvo and charged £10.00 took two mins, Volvo wanted £90.00 inc vat. Common sense isn't very common.
