don't think the radio has a code, didn't loose mine when I changed my battery, and didn't have a problem when I plugged the electrics in.

I didn't bother disconnecting the battery everything worked fine

Radio isn't coded, so not an issue. Will have to reset clock & possibly have to reset windows though. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

MY13 is Plug and Play. Do exactly that if you have the appropriate kit.
