Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
MY 2013 Towbar Electrics

Hi all, got myself a 2013 SD4 auto a few weeks ago and loving it. Reading through the Forum regularly and getting myself educated.
Fitted a Witter Towbar at weekend, went ok and finished in time to watch Old Firm game on telly (that's Celtic v Rangers to our friends south of border Very Happy ). I've got a dedicated electrics kit and have read you need to disconnect the battery to fit? I don't have the radio code and, so far, have failed to get this from LR so not keen to lose the sounds. Can I plug the electrics in with battery connected, what's likely to happen? Are there any fuses to pull to kill the power instead? Last one- would a code memory device work, although technical,y that still has the power connected to the car?
Any help gratefully received as I'd like to get the 'bar fully operational,

Many Thanks.

don't think the radio has a code, didn't loose mine when I changed my battery, and didn't have a problem when I plugged the electrics in.
others will be along soon to confirm or correct this info so just hang on. Common sense isn't very common.

Radio isn't coded, so not an issue. Will have to reset clock & possibly have to reset windows though. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

MY13 is Plug and Play. Do exactly that if you have the appropriate kit.
