Also doing, Skye, Lewis and Harris, Ullapool and beyond.

Over 50 years ago, it was September I did my first big trip around the top of Scotland in a Ford Anglia owned and driven by my older brothers mate who was 17.

The most striking thing then were the number of small car ferries to get you across short sections of water on the West Coast, mile upon mile of single track road and very few tourists. The cost now seems almost prohibitive for those of us South of the borer and wild camping is now more of an issue as well.

For me, cost is a measure of the world as it is... and as an individual who cannot change it, lives with it.
I have been going up to the highlands on my Motorcycle for a week break for over 10 years with my mates.
Inchree Lodge is the best solution for groups at £17 a night (last years prices)
We get older and prices rise.
I live with it.. I have many a tantrum over fuel costs and Insurance and Tax increases but again who listens.
Live for today is my motto.
