I do have the extended warranty. Never been a problem, if it needs a replacement part, either warranty pays of LRCS do as it is a "known fault".

The links on the anti roll bar could be source of noise at front, and sloppy handling. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Is it the usual check of a pry bar and look for movement? |

On my previous FL2 LR contacted me when the extended warranty was about to run out with a quote for renewal. I went for full warranty plus LR Assist which came out at £900 which you can pay in 10 installments. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Doing my front springs at the moment as one of the springs has snapped. It is do able on the drive. You will require a larger than average ball joint splitter. Don't need to compress the springs till the complete unit is off the car.

Yes I have done last year and got it to do this year. But you done need a bit of brut force to get it all together. |

Yeah , our 64 plate SD4 SE Tech does that too. - 30K miles and no different now from when we first had it at 6 months old. Though when I think about it I think they are "bottoming out" as it happens as you pass over to the far side of a speed bump and the springs extend rapidly - no noise on hitting the speed bump. MY11 makes a big noise when rebounding on the other side of a speed bump and sounds nasty, I just take them slower to avoid this happening. g |

I put my MY13 GS in last week to the local garage with me supplying new Struts, bolts (for attaching struts to knuckles), Anti roll bar links rods and complete bottom wishbones. Garage charged job at 4 hours and said they had quite a job getting the pre-mentioned bolts free and out. Total cost was just under £520 with labour at £269. Was going to do the antiroll bar rubbers as well but the couriers and suppliers let me down on delivery and they are still to fit now. Car was fit to go on and would have passed a MOT but having done the rear ones myself last August I still had a small shimmy now and then with steering not as precise as when new. All nice and tight and hopefully will be good now for another 6 years. Some of the shimmy may be down to the type of tyre fitted, that being now half worn Crosslimates. They will be gone for next Winter I suspect, mind you with my recent health problems I might be as well. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

Links are easy enough, getting the strut all lined up with top plate when off is a bit fiddly when you have not seen one before as it can't just sit anywhere in a 360 degrees arc. You need a good set of spring clamps and some you can fit while strut is still on the vehicle to take weight off. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
