The bus driver did well to skid round the car. I bet the bloke in the van thought the rear of the bus was going to hit him.

Had to go out in the Devon snow Storm Yesterday which was in the Red Warning area to Search for my son who was with a group of friend cycling before the worst of the storm came in. I told him he was not to go to far from our home town of Ashburton but do kids listen.

The bus driver only missed the car due to its standard safety features . Electronic Stability Control (ESP), Electronic braking Systems, (EBS), anti-slip, acceleration limiter and hill start-aid all come as standard on the chasis of later buses. The worst feature is there is no selectable gears only forward and reverse buttons now so you cant lock it in a lower gear. |

Yes no driver skill at all What’s anti slip and acceleration limiter? Thats not fitted to the vehicles we use They have hill hold which all auto vehicles have, doesn’t help climbing hills only prevents rollback. They have the same safety features as a car but the driver still has to know how to get the best from it. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

This absolute was blasting through a 30mph zone and just did not bother giving way. Good job I accelerated steadily and caught sight of him coming.
