So pleased on reading that, I went for the HAL Signature headlamp conversion. Its only when I use them ........ I wish I'd gone HID Xenon.

How is a non LR specialist MOT station expected to know what sort of headlamps were fitted originally to a specific car? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE

Both mine are part numbered ....... be it a sticky label. HAL then part number DB.

Fortunately I re-wire the internal loom inside the headlamp, so NO change to the vehicles loom.

If I had to ...... I can swap back the original lamps in less then 10 minutes.

Cool

LR dealers themselves don’t know Laughing

This is for folk buying the HID kits and fitting the xenon bulb and ballast pack into a headlamp designed for halogen lights. If you have purchased a set of xenon headlamps then your fine. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

The MOT examiner could use the OBD to check the 'HID Xenon' setting in the CCF ??????

No. We’re not allowed to do that. As said, proper lights and not those Mickey Mouse kits. About time too, although I suspect those that fit them will remove them for the test and refit afterwards. I’d expect to see a Police crackdown on them after the new test has been running for sometime though. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
