I went from MY14 Halogens with Signature to MY15 Halogens with Signature then to MY15 Xenons with Signature! Wish I specced them from new

How is a non LR specialist MOT station expected to know what sort of headlamps were fitted originally to a specific car? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Both mine are part numbered ....... be it a sticky label. HAL then part number DB.

LR dealers themselves don’t know This is for folk buying the HID kits and fitting the xenon bulb and ballast pack into a headlamp designed for halogen lights. If you have purchased a set of xenon headlamps then your fine. The MOT examiner could use the OBD to check the 'HID Xenon' setting in the CCF ??????

No. We’re not allowed to do that. As said, proper lights and not those Mickey Mouse kits. About time too, although I suspect those that fit them will remove them for the test and refit afterwards. I’d expect to see a Police crackdown on them after the new test has been running for sometime though. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
