At least one of you had a smile on your face and one more jump than expected then As you had done a fair journey and it kept going on the way home it looks as if you need a new battery. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

YB..Why have one jump when you can have two. Thanks for the battery pointer, it is a new battery almost a month old and it's the uprated one made for the stop/start models. I wonder if I am being over generous with the heated seats. I am going to look at an uprated alternator.

The area around Penclawdd used to be renown for Sea Food. every cottage had a shed with a boiler to process the cockles. The village even had a railway that used to carry train loads of cockles etc to Swansea, Cardiff and Birmingham. The sheep from the cob are special............... don't comment YB |

Just one thought on this then as its a new battery. My drive belt load pulley (Jockey pulley) failed a few weeks ago so just check yours is OK. Belt will not be as tight as it should to drive alternator fully but pretty obvious once spring finally goes as no power steering. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

Chips,I know as I worked the cockle beds every summer back in the day and the dipping. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.
